Well-known Punjabi comedian and stage performer Tariq Teddy passed away at 46 after a protracted illness, on Saturday, November 19, in Lahore, according to his family.
Tariq was only 46 years old, he had liver disease.
Teddy was reportedly receiving care at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI), where he was kept in the intensive care unit, or ICU, according to his brother.
After his health began to deteriorate he was later shifted to a ventilator.

Tariq’s condition was not well, according to doctors, because an infection in his liver had worsened and 70% of his organs had stopped working.
Following the news of Tariq’s illness, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi also announced free medical care for him.
At a very young age, Tariq Teddy began his career in commercial theatre. In 1990, he performed in his first play for a paying audience.
He entertained crowds for the next three decades with his unique brand of comedy.
The audience enjoyed Teddy’s performances in various stage productions and his unique style.
