PTI Granted Permission for Rally at Jallo Park in Lahore

The Punjab government has officially approved the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Jallo Park in Lahore. A spokesperson for the district administration confirmed that the event will proceed under standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety.

Sources indicate that the Opposition Leader of the Punjab Assembly was called to the Deputy Commissioner’s office to finalize the event arrangements. There are also discussions about potentially holding the rally at the cattle market near Ring Road, pending a review by the District Intelligence Committee, which assessed police reports and the situation following the Islamabad rally.

In preparation, multiple containers have been positioned around Minar-e-Pakistan, restricting access for citizens, and the gates of Greater Iqbal Park have been closed.

The PTI’s legal team has arrived at the DC office for meetings with DC Lahore and DIG Operations Faisal Kamran. A representative from the PTI legal team stated, “We’ve been assured that permission has been granted for the meeting. We’re now awaiting the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and discussing potential venue changes.” The rally is set to follow SOPs to ensure a smooth and secure event.
