KARACHI: On Monday, K-Electric received the lowest tariff bid for its 150-megawatt renewable energy project in Balochistan, scheduled to commence in Q4 FY25.
K-Electric will present a bid evaluation report to the National Electricity Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) before announcing the successful bidder.
The 640-megawatt project marks the initial phase of K-Electric’s long-term plan to incorporate 1,300 megawatts of sustainable energy into its generation portfolio. This plan consists of three phases: the first phase involves a 150-megawatt project in Balochistan, followed by a 270-megawatt project in Sindh, and a 220-megawatt site-neutral project, which will be the first hybrid solar and wind initiative.
