Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, at the inauguration of the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub, stressed the importance of empowering Pakistan’s youth for a prosperous future. He highlighted that progress comes not from loans but from investing in the country’s talent, particularly through IT training and skill development.
During his address, the Prime Minister acknowledged Pakistan’s rising debt over the last 77 years but expressed his commitment to free the country from this burden, aiming to transform its debts into dignified self-sufficiency. He also expressed hope that the current agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be the last, emphasizing the need to break free from the cycle of dependency.
Shahbaz Sharif reflected on his time as Chief Minister, where he launched initiatives in health, education, and youth development, including distributing 400,000 laptops to talented students. He reiterated that the youth are Pakistan’s greatest asset and that providing them with the necessary tools and skills would ensure a brighter future for the country.
The Prime Minister announced that Rana Mashhood would oversee efforts to ensure productive employment opportunities for young people. He also shared updates on recent economic achievements, including the addition of 34 billion rupees to the national treasury and the recovery of significant amounts through legal challenges, demonstrating his focus on strengthening the economy.
Rana Mashhood also spoke at the event, describing the Digital Youth Hub as the start of a new era for the youth, which will reshape their future with unprecedented opportunities.
