PM inaugurates the Bhara Kahu bypass, expresses gratitude to the COAS for support

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Bhara Kahu bypass in Islamabad, a significant infrastructure project aimed at alleviating traffic congestion and improving transportation for people in Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to Gen Asim Munir for the support provided to complete the project.

The project, which spans 5.4 kilometers and includes a 1350-meter-long overhead bridge, was completed in just 9 months. The total cost amounted to over Rs6 billion. It is expected to ease traffic flow and benefit both commuters and tourists. The bypass will improve travel experiences for residents and tourists visiting the scenic regions. It showcases the government’s dedication to enhancing infrastructure and connectivity throughout Pakistan.

During the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister expressed his satisfaction with the project’s completion. He emphasized its importance in addressing traffic congestion in Bhara Kahu. He acknowledged the challenges faced during execution, particularly in land acquisition.

The prime minister also praised the role of the army chief in the successful completion of the project. He asserted that speculations about his relationship with the establishment did not hinder his commitment to delivering development projects for the people

PM Shehbaz launches ‘Digital Youth Hub Portal’

Prime Minister also launched the ‘Digital Youth Hub Portal’ and expressed his satisfaction with the progress of various youth-oriented initiatives in Pakistan. During the launching ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the rapid growth of youth programs. These programs include the distribution of laptops to students, aimed at supporting their education and empowerment. He also emphasized the government’s efforts to provide loans to young entrepreneurs, amounting to 30 billion so far. This initiative aims to help them realize their business ventures and foster economic growth. An additional 80 billion has been earmarked for youth-related initiatives this year.

PM Sharif expressed concern for the less fortunate and marginalized youth, allocating 5 billion for stipends to support their basic needs. He pledged that, if given the opportunity, the allocation would be increased to 50 billion to secure a brighter future for the younger generation.

The Prime Minister also commended the linguistic skills of the youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He praised their proficiency in Urdu and their eagerness to excel. He assured that the government would continue to empower the youth and more initiatives will be launched.
