The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have taken a significant step forward in addressing the longstanding issues faced by Balochistan by resolving to work together. This collaborative effort was underscored during a joint session of the PML-N and PPP parliamentary parties in Balochistan, held in Islamabad.
Key figures from both parties, including Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Jam Kamal Khan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Mir Changez Jamali, Sarbuland Khan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, Jamal Shah Kakar, Wali Mohammad Noorzai, Asim Kurd Gello, Sardar Faisal Jamali, and Barkat Ali Rind, participated in the meeting. Discussions primarily focused on the formation of the government in Balochistan and addressing the pressing issues confronting the province.
The leaderships of both the PML-N and PPP engaged in an exchange of views regarding the prevailing situation in Balochistan, recognizing the need for concerted efforts to uplift the region and improve the lives of its residents.
Recently, PML-N leader Jam Kamal emphasized the collective responsibility of all political parties in contributing to the betterment of Balochistan. In a press conference held in Quetta, the former Balochistan chief minister emphasized the urgency of prioritizing the development and progress of Balochistan, stating, “We have to think about Balochistan now.”
Kamal highlighted the importance of engaging with other political parties to address the multifaceted challenges facing Balochistan, emphasizing the need for cooperation and collaboration among all stakeholders.
The decision of the PML-N and PPP to join forces in Balochistan reflects a significant shift towards a more inclusive and collaborative approach to governance and development in the province. By pooling their resources, expertise, and political capital, both parties aim to formulate effective strategies and policies to address the socio-economic, political, and security challenges confronting Balochistan.
