Pakistan Railways is set to launch a Summer Vacation Special Train (49-Up, 50-Dn) from July 5 to July 30, catering to travel between Rawalpindi and Karachi. This initiative aims to facilitate convenient and comfortable travel for passengers during the peak summer season.
The special train, designated as 50-Dn, will commence its journey from Rawalpindi on specific dates: July 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, and 29, departing at 12:30 PM and expected to reach Karachi Cantt around 2:15 PM the following day.
On return, the 49-Up service will depart from Karachi Cantt at 8:45 PM on July 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, and 30, arriving in Rawalpindi at 10:00 PM the next day.
During its journey, the train will stop at major stations including Jhelum, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rohri, and Hyderabad. The train composition includes two AC standard coaches, two AC business coaches, five economy class coaches, one brake van, and one power plant.
Additionally, to accommodate more passengers, six economy class coaches will be added specifically from Lahore.
This service is designed to offer a swift and comfortable mode of transportation for residents and travelers alike during the summer holidays.
