Over a Dozen Holidays Await in First two weeks of April

In the province of Sindh, Pakistan, the month of April heralds an abundance of holidays, offering a welcome respite for students, teachers, and government employees alike. Within the first 15 days alone, a staggering 12 to 13 holidays are expected.

The commencement of this holiday extravaganza occurs on April 1st, when educational institutions shutter their doors in observance of Youm-e-Ali, a day dedicated to commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali. Across the province, roads are closed as mournful processions traverse the streets, marking this solemn occasion.

Notably, government employees of the Christian community will also enjoy a day off on April 1st, coinciding with the Day after Easter Sunday.

Continuing the trend, April 4th is designated as a day of remembrance for the late Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, ensuring another day of rest for the populace. This is followed by the customary weekend break, with April 5th being observed as Jumatul Wida, the final Friday of Ramazan.

The holiday season reaches its peak with the arrival of April 10th, which marks Shab-e-Qadr, the Night of Power. Subsequently, from April 11th to April 13th, the Eidul Fitr holidays are declared as per the notification issued by the Cabinet Division. Notably, April 14th conveniently falls on a Sunday, further extending the period of leisure for all.

This generous allocation of holidays promises ample opportunities for relaxation, reflection, and celebration among the populace. Whether it be the somber remembrance of historical figures, the spiritual significance of religious events, or simply a well-deserved break from the rigors of daily life, April in Sindh ensures that individuals from all walks of life can partake in the joy of the season.
