NHA Offers Free M-Tag Facility Until August 15

The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced that citizens can obtain M-Tags free of charge until August 15. This announcement, made on Friday, is part of a new initiative to promote the M-Tag system, which will soon be mandatory for vehicles on motorways.

The NHA is encouraging the public to take advantage of this offer and acquire their M-Tags as soon as possible. The M-Tag system is designed to streamline travel by saving time, reducing costs, and ensuring transparent digital transactions, which will help in managing public funds more effectively.

To make it easier for users to get and recharge their M-Tags, the NHA has set up several convenient options, including:

  • Customer care services
  • Drive-thru booths
  • Service areas

Recharges can be made using various payment methods such as:

  • Credit/debit cards
  • EasyPaisa
  • JazzCash

The introduction of the M-Tag system aims to reduce congestion and travel time, enhancing the overall efficiency of the motorway network. Starting August 16, only vehicles equipped with M-Tags will be permitted to use the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11). This change represents a significant move towards a more organized and efficient transportation system in the country.

With the deadline rapidly approaching, citizens are urged to obtain their free M-Tags before August 15 to ensure they are ready for the new regulations.
