New Rules Implemented at Karachi Airport

In response to a recent terrorist attack near Jinnah International Airport, the Pakistan Airports Authority’s Vigilance Department has introduced new security measures aimed at enhancing safety for passengers and their companions.

Aviation sources indicate that these updated protocols will be implemented in the near future.

Under the new guidelines, passengers will be required to present a copy of their travel ticket to enter the airport, ensuring their identity is verified by security personnel. Additionally, passengers will be allowed to have a maximum of four companions with them at the airport.

Those arriving to pick up or drop off passengers will now need to carry a valid ID card for access to the airport premises. Individuals without proper ID or a ticket copy will be denied entry, reinforcing controlled access and prioritizing security.

Airport authorities have emphasized that these measures are being put in place to safeguard passengers and ensure a secure environment in light of growing security concerns.
