The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had earlier anticipated rain in Kashmir along with strong winds and thunder, while high-altitude areas could expect snowfall and hailstorms on Wednesday and Thursday.

Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, and surrounding areas may expect strong winds, with the possibility of snowfall in the highlands. Hail and wind are also anticipated in several areas of Peshawar.
