The Narowal border, located in Punjab, holds both geographical and strategic significance due to its proximity to the India-Pakistan border. It is an area of historical importance, particularly in the context of cross-border relations and security. The region is monitored by both Pakistan’s Rangers and India’s Border Security Force (BSF), with heightened vigilance due to frequent drone-related smuggling incidents.
The Kartarpur Corridor, which connects Pakistan’s Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur to India’s Dera Baba Nanak, runs through this border, facilitating religious tourism for Sikh pilgrims.
