NADRA Launches Bike Service in Karachi to Assist Citizens

NADRA

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an innovative mobile service in Karachi, aimed at providing greater convenience to citizens by bringing its essential services directly to their doorsteps.

This initiative is designed to reduce the hassle of long queues and waiting times that have traditionally plagued NADRA offices.

Starting this Monday, three motorcycles will be deployed throughout Karachi, equipped to assist citizens with various NADRA services.

Plans are already in place to expand the service to a total of 13 bikes in the coming days, with additional bikes set to be deployed to other cities such as Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas. As part of the initial phase, one bike will be available in each of these cities to offer similar doorstep services.

The NADRA staff operating the bikes will carry backpacks equipped with all the necessary tools to process applications for national identity cards and other services on-site.

This setup allows the staff to complete a range of administrative tasks that would typically require a visit to a NADRA office, all from the convenience of the citizen’s home.

For those choosing to utilize this home service, there will be an additional charge of Rs1,000. This fee covers Rs825 for the service itself and an extra Rs175 for delivery.

While this fee is an added expense, it offers a significant convenience for individuals who would otherwise face long waiting times at NADRA centers.

The introduction of this bike service is part of NADRA’s broader strategy to enhance service accessibility and efficiency.

In addition to the mobile bike service, NADRA has also recently launched a new mobile app aimed at replacing its old website, addressing security concerns related to fraudulent activities.

Furthermore, the authority has set up 24/7 passport counters at major centers nationwide, ensuring that citizens can access critical services at any time. These ongoing initiatives reflect NADRA’s commitment to improving its services and making them more accessible to the public.
