Maryam Nawaz is likely to arrive in Pakistan on Jan 22:

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz, is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on January 22.

Maryam’s visit to her hometown serves as a warm-up for PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, the party’s chief organiser, informed party leaders that they would return to the country this month (January) to actively campaign for the election.

On January 13, PM Shehbaz spoke by phone with Nawaz Sharif.

And hosted a meeting of senior party officials at his home to discuss the political climate in Punjab.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that Nawaz Sharif would come back as soon as his lawyers completed their work to provide him with legal protection.

Maryam Nawaz’s decision to return to politics, according to media reports, was made by the party’s senior leadership.

Her father, Nawaz Sharif, has entrusted her with critical responsibilities regarding the mobilisation of PML-N workers.

Maryam will travel to Punjab and meet with top government officials. It is worth noting that Maryam underwent throat surgery in Switzerland.

She travelled to Geneva from London, where she had been staying with her father and brothers.

Nawaz Sharif travelled to five European countries with his daughter Maryam and other family members in November of last year, amidst political unrest in Pakistan. For ten days, the family travelled throughout Europe.

Maryam has been in London to see her father since October 5.
