Imran Khan Claims Nawaz Sharif Ready to Return to London
In an informal discussion with journalists at Adiala Jail, PTI founder Imran Khan disclosed that he had postponed the August 8 PTI rally to prevent a repeat of the events of May 9.
Khan alleged that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s belongings were packed and ready for a return to London, requiring only essential items to complete his departure.
He explained that the postponement was intended to avoid a recurrence of May 9’s turmoil. “If anyone tries to obstruct us on September 8, there will be no stopping us,” Khan warned.
Khan also instructed PTI workers to remain undeterred by any obstacles on September 8. “As the head of the largest political party in the country, I demand an open trial for Gen (rtd) Faiz Hameed,” he added.
When asked about who had sent a meeting request to Azam Swati the previous night, Khan suggested that the topic be deferred for now.
He further commented, “When you observe PML-N’s frantic behavior, it indicates their fear of engaging with our establishment.”
