LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Mob lynching of a blasphemy accused inside a police station in Nankana sahib near Lahore shocked the nation on Saturday.
The enraged mob broke into the police station, killed the accused, and dragged his dead body in the streets which was a horrible incident.
The Inspector General of the Punjab Police immediately suspended DSP and SHO for showing negligence in this case.
Some videos of mob lynching went viral on Saturday. In one video, scores of people are scaling the gate of the Warburton Police Station. The mob stormed the building, killed the blasphemy accused inside the police station, and then took his dead body to the streets.
IG Punjab Police suspended Nankana Sahib Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaz Waraq and Warburton Station House Officer Feroz Bhatti immediately after the incident.

PM Orders inquiry & CM Punjab seeks report
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an investigation into the Warburton police station incident while caretaker chief minister sought a report from police.
“The rule of law should be ensured, no one should be allowed to influence the law,” PM Shehbaz said.
Meanwhile, the caretaker chief minister of Punjab sought a report from the IG on the incident.
He instructed that legal action be taken against those who take the law into their own hands.
