Hamas treated my daughter like a Princess: Israeli mother Aloni said after her release with a ‘Love letter’ for Hamas

“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your extraordinary humanity shown towards my daughter, Emilia,” wrote Aloni in the letter originally composed in Hebrew.

In a heartfelt letter addressed to Hamas fighters, Israeli mother Danielle Aloni expressed profound gratitude for their compassionate treatment of her five-year-old daughter, Emilia, during their 49-day captivity in besieged Gaza.

Released as part of a temporary truce agreement between the Palestinian resistance group and Israel, the mother-daughter duo was reunited with their relatives on November 24.

Before leaving Gaza to return to her family in Israel, Aloni penned a letter to Hamas, acknowledging and appreciating the group for their exceptional kindness towards her daughter.

“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your extraordinary humanity shown towards my daughter, Emilia,” wrote Aloni in the letter originally composed in Hebrew.

The letter was shared on Monday on the official Telegram account of Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, accompanied by an Arabic translation and a photo of the mother and daughter.

In her handwritten Hebrew letter, Danielle conveyed Emilia’s sense of camaraderie with the Hamas fighters, describing them as not just friends but truly beloved and good. Aloni also expressed gratitude for the excellent care given to hostages in Gaza, thanking them for the many hours spent as caregivers.

The mother revealed that, despite the challenging circumstances of captivity, her daughter felt like a queen, emphasizing that children should not be in such situations. She acknowledged the kindness and compassion shown by Hamas fighters and other individuals they encountered during their journey.

Concluding her letter with compassion for Hamas, Danielle Aloni stated, “I will remember your kind behavior shown in spite of the difficult situation you faced and the severe losses you suffered here in Gaza.”

She expressed a wish for genuine friendship in the world and extended well wishes to Gazans, wishing them health, well-being, and love for their families and children.

Danielle and Emilia Aloni were taken hostage while visiting Danielle’s sister and her family at Kibbutz Nir Oz in southern Israel, and they were among the 24 Israeli hostages released by Hamas on November 24.

Previously, Hamas fighters had shared a video in which Danielle and two other hostages called out Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the delay in securing their release.
