Muhammad Asad Raza just received the badge GIKI’22 and graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI). Asad Raza is a native of the Khuda Ki Basti slum in Karachi. His father sells fruits. The Citizens Foundation (TCF), a nonprofit that assisted Asad Raza with all of his core educational needs, helped him finish his early education.
Asad’s Father Ahmad says, “With my earnings, I would not have been able to send Asad to a prestigious school, college, or university.” He directs us to the balcony where we wait with his wife and kids for a charpoy. I had to leave school at a young age to help my family, he continues. Having all of my children in school is my desire, and TCF is making that a reality.
Muhammad Asad Raza is an independent individual who works hard to advance society. His leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities have all contributed to his success. For four semesters, he received the GIKI Dean’s Honor Roll Award. Asad Raza was also given the A.L.I.P.H. Award (Ardour, Leadership, Integrity, Perseverance, and Humility) by TCF College in honour of his excellent accomplishment.
Asad is ready to begin his first job at a software company after graduating from the famous Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
Pavan Manzoor is an experienced content writer , editor and social media handler along with a track record of youth-oriented activities in Pakistan and abroad. She was selected as a fully-funded delegate as a leadership fellow in Turkey. She also led a team of 5 volunteers at the week-long Young Professionals Fellowship in Maldives. She is also a member of the Youth Standing Committee on Higher Education.
