FIA Arrests Three Bangladeshi Sisters for Illegal Pakistani ID Card Acquisition

FIA

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle has arrested three Bangladeshi sisters from Gulshan-e-Iqbal for their involvement in obtaining Pakistani identity cards through illegal means.

The suspects, identified as Ayesha Naz, Hina Naz, and Afshan Naz, were wanted in a case that was registered in 2022. According to the FIA, the sisters, despite being foreign nationals, managed to acquire Pakistani identity cards using fraudulent methods.

Investigations revealed that the accused obtained not only fake identity cards but also forged birth and death certificates. These documents were crucial in enabling them to register for Pakistani identity cards.

It was discovered that the suspects had relied on the services of an agent who helped them in acquiring these forged certificates.

The fraudulent birth and death certificates were reportedly issued by the Secretary of the Union Council in Rizvia Society, Liaquatabad Town, who is now under scrutiny by the authorities.

The FIA is taking action to apprehend other individuals involved in facilitating this illegal activity, including those who helped the suspects obtain the forged documents.

Authorities are also looking into the possible involvement of officials from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) during the investigation.

The FIA’s continued efforts aim to dismantle networks that support such illegal activities and to prevent further misuse of identity documentation systems.

In a separate development, the FIA Cyber Crime Circle made significant arrests in connection with the MDCAT (Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test) paper leak case.

Three individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement in leaking the MDCAT exam papers across Karachi and Sindh.

These suspects were accused of providing the leaked papers to students in exchange for money, further complicating the integrity of the examination process.

Both cases highlight the ongoing challenges faced by authorities in curbing fraudulent activities, including the illegal acquisition of official documents and exam paper leaks.

The FIA’s operations in these matters continue as they work to ensure accountability and prevent the exploitation of systems meant to safeguard citizens’ identities and educational fairness.
