Federal Government Announces Three-Day Eidul Azha Holidays

The federal government has declared a three-day holiday for Eidul Azha. Starting from Monday, June 17, the holidays will continue until Wednesday, June 19. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave approval to this decision after reviewing a summary from the cabinet division.

Eidul Azha holds immense significance for Muslims worldwide, marking a sacred occasion when believers offer sacrifices to cleanse their souls and wealth. It stands as one of the most revered days in the Islamic calendar.

In addition to the Eid holidays, customary breaks are typically observed during the first two days of Hajj. This year, those days coincide with Saturday and Sunday. Hence, the government traditionally extends the holiday period to encompass these important days of the Hajj pilgrimage.

The announcement of these holidays provides an opportunity for people to engage in religious observances, spend time with family and loved ones, and partake in the festivities that accompany Eidul Azha. It also allows for a period of rest and rejuvenation for individuals across the country.

Eidul Azha

With the government’s decision, citizens can plan their activities and celebrations accordingly, ensuring a harmonious and joyous Eidul Azha for all.
