ECP Disappointed on PM Imran Khan Statement

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission Of Pakistan (ECP) in a statement sowed disappointment on the statement and address of the Prime Minister Imran Khan issuing a detailed statement.

ECP on Friday has expressed disappointment over the statements of PM and Federal Ministers regarding the results of senate polls and stated that every Party and candidate should have courage to accept the defeat.

In a statement ECP says that it is a constitutional institution which is independent and only follow the laws and regulations as given under the Constitution of Pakistan. It also said that the organization is independent under the constitution and works and runs itself only in the light of the laws and regulations and not by the whims and wishes on=f any individual

In any one has any grievances, the constitutions provides a clear way for redressal, please follow that rather than criticizing an institution.

The statement was a hard response to the PM’s address to the nation a day ago. ECP also says that it will not take any pressure in deciding its matters and course of action.

“Anyone loses, that is not acceptable, anyone wins, all is good for him, is it not a wide and clear contradiction”, says ECP statement issued in Urdu.

Before the statement, the ECP held a longer meeting and then came the statement.
