Blast in Balochistan’s Kohlu District: one dead,14 injured

KOHLU: According to police, an explosion in Balochistan’s Kohlu district on Friday resulted in at least one fatality and 14 injuries.

The incident, which occurred at a store in Kohlu’s main bazaar, caused one fatality and fifteen injuries, according to the police. However, it has not yet been determined what caused the explosion.

Levies and FC personnel arrived on the scene shortly after the event and transported the injured to the Kohlu district hospital. After the blast, rescue teams started digging individuals out from under the rubble.

A number of the injured were in critical condition, according to the district hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS). Security personnel roped off the area while continuing their investigation.

According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a Pakistan Army captain was killed earlier in February during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by security personnel in Balochistan’s Kohlu area.

The army’s propaganda wing claims that on February 20, 2022, security forces cleared a region after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists close to District Kohlu, Balochistan.

Terrorists launched indiscriminate fire as they fled the terrorist stronghold as soon as troops began encircling the area. According to the ISPR, Captain Haider Abbas chose martyrdom during a fierce firefight to pursue the terrorists.
