Another Cold Wave Set to Hit Pakistan This Week

As a result of the current cold spell, temperature records have been broken across the country. 

Extremely low temperatures have been recorded in several locations across Sindh and Punjab.

According to Pak Weather, Pakistan’s largest automated network of weather stations, the current cold wave will begin to weaken today.

Another cold front is on the way, and Pak Weather predicts it will hit the country this week.

Tomorrow, a westerly disturbance will move into Balochistan, and rain and snow are expected to fall in these areas of the province from January 18 to January 20.

Rain is also forecast for the province’s coastal region.

Owais Hyder, the founder of Pak Weather, stated that rain is expected in Sindh’s northwest and west on January 18 and 19.

Karachi will experience light rain on the 19th and 20th of January.

From January 20 to 25, heavy snowfall is expected in the northwest and northern regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), as well as Murree, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Azad Jammu, and Kashmir. (AJK).

The next cold wave will pick up steam on January 23, and most parts of the country can expect a drop in temperature.

The temperature will fall to 6°C in Karachi, while it will be between 0° and 2°C in Islamabad, 1° and 3°C in Lahore, and -10°C in Quetta.
