Amount of Explosives Used in the Suicide Blast Targeting a Foreign Convoy in Karachi

The bomber waited for the convoy to reach its destination before detonating the explosive. The Karachi Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) has completed a preliminary investigation into the deadly blast near Karachi Airport, revealing that 70 to 80 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.

The explosives were found in a vehicle involved in the suicide bombing that targeted a convoy of foreigners near the departure signal at Jinnah International Airport. The explosion resulted in the deaths of two foreign nationals and injured 17 others, including a Chinese citizen.

BDDS experts from all three districts are currently examining the crime scene for further analysis. In response to the attack, the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad has urged Chinese nationals to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. The Pakistan Foreign Office has also strongly condemned the attack on Chinese nationals.
