Afghanistan Urged to Surrender Terrorists’ Heavy Weapons to Pakistan

Pakistan

In response to the recent surge in terrorism within Pakistan, the Foreign Office (FO) issued a statement on Thursday urging immediate and effective action from Afghan authorities against the implicated terrorist entities. The FO called for the extradition of the terror group leaders to Islamabad. This appeal follows multiple blasts in various parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, resulting in casualties.

FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, during her weekly briefing in Islamabad, emphasized Pakistan’s consistent concerns about the terrorist threats emanating from Afghanistan. She highlighted that Pakistan had shared credible evidence of India’s involvement in extraterritorial and extra-judicial killings within its borders. Despite India not denying the veracity of the evidence, Baloch added that India continues to be implicated in terrorist incidents inside Pakistan.

The spokesperson mentioned that Pakistan had communicated evidence of India’s involvement in terror acts to friendly and relevant countries, seeking cooperation in holding accountable those responsible for these acts. She dismissed India’s charges against Pakistan as neither new nor credible, describing them as ridiculous.

Baloch also expressed serious concerns about attacks on Muslim places of worship in India, stating that there is a concerted campaign to replace mosques with temples, tarnishing India’s democratic image. Regarding the killing of nine Pakistani workers in Iran, Baloch condemned the inhumane act and called for the Iranian authorities to share details of the attack once the investigation is completed.

She also urged the full implementation of the International Court of Justice’s judgment to safeguard the rights, dignity, and identity of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the UNSC’s role in imposing a ceasefire to protect Gaza from ongoing atrocities.

Lastly, the spokesperson announced Pakistan’s observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, outlining a comprehensive program to express support for the Kashmiri people and their right to a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
