18 British-Made Machines Delivered to ASF for Explosive Detection at Airports

A significant step forward in bomb detection technology at airports has been marked with the handover of 18 British-made Explosotrace Detection machines to the Airport Security Force (ASF). These advanced machines are designed to detect explosive materials, enhancing security protocols at key airports.

The machines were originally procured by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) from the United Kingdom, with the primary aim of ensuring security clearance for direct flights to the UK. The newly acquired equipment will be deployed at airports in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

An official highlighted, “These machines will not only improve security but will also assist in securing clearance for direct flights to the United States.”
