ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Friday passed a resolution to extend the upper age limit for Central Superior Services (CSS) exam candidates by five years, raising the maximum age to 35 years starting from 2026.
The resolution was introduced by Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), after she received permission to suspend routine rules to table the motion.
According to the resolution, the House urged the government to implement the age relaxation and increase the number of attempts to five for all aspirants.
The move follows a recent court decision and the announcement of the CSS 2025 schedule by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), and is seen as a significant step toward broadening access to civil service opportunities for a wider range of candidates.
