A Day of Reverence and Reflection Across Pakistan
Today, the nation solemnly marks the 77th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with deep respect and admiration. Across the country, both government and private organisations are holding events in memory of the Father of the Nation.
Quran recitations are being held to pray for the departed soul of Quaid-e-Azam. Citizens, political leaders, and members of the armed forces are visiting his mausoleum in Karachi. They are laying floral wreaths and offering prayers to honour his historic contributions.
Seminars and Events Recall the Founder’s Legacy
Various organisations are arranging seminars, discussions, and commemorative ceremonies to remember Quaid’s vision and legacy. These events aim to educate the public about his unwavering commitment to justice, tolerance, and national unity.
Speakers across these forums are reminding the youth of Jinnah’s values and urging them to adopt his principles. His message remains relevant today, especially as the nation faces modern-day challenges.
National Leaders Reflect on Quaid’s Timeless Vision
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have issued heartfelt statements on this occasion. They paid rich tributes to Quaid-e-Azam’s exceptional leadership and sacrifices for Pakistan’s creation.
President Zardari highlighted that Jinnah gave the Muslims of South Asia a homeland, identity, and dignity. He stressed the importance of following Quaid’s dream of a progressive, inclusive, and democratic state.
He also noted that the RSS-led policies in India validate the Two-Nation Theory. Minority communities there increasingly feel their basic rights are under threat. These developments, he stated, justify Pakistan’s very existence.
President Zardari urged the nation to unite and overcome present-day challenges such as extremism, economic issues, and climate change. He emphasised that this is a defining moment for Pakistan’s future.
A Call to Action for the Nation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Quaid-e-Azam’s political foresight and unwavering resolve. He recalled that Jinnah’s leadership overcame massive obstacles, including partition, mass migration, and resource shortages.
Despite these challenges, the Quaid laid strong foundations for an independent and sovereign Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated that Pakistan was built as a democratic state where religious freedom and minority rights must be protected.
Both leaders encouraged Pakistanis to reaffirm their commitment to Quaid’s ideals. They stressed that building a stable, inclusive, and just society is the best tribute to his legacy.
