ISLAMABAD โ In a major step towards digital public service delivery, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new feature in its Pak ID mobile app, allowing Pakistani citizens to download digital versions of their vehicle registration and arms licence cards free of cost.

This latest update enables users to securely access and store these important documents directly on their smartphones, eliminating the need to carry physical copies. The initiative is part of NADRAโs broader push to make essential services more accessible, efficient, and paperless.
To guide users through the process, NADRA has also released a tutorial video on its official YouTube channel. The steps are simple: download the Pak ID app, register and log in, go to โOther Government Services,โ tap โShow More,โ select either โVehicle Cardโ or โDigital Arms Licence Card,โ and then download the card. The digital documents are saved in the โID Vaultโ section of the app.
The service is completely free and aims to make digital document access easier for citizens, especially in remote areas. NADRAโs move reflects its continued leadership in Pakistanโs digital transformation.
In related developments, NADRA has also simplified the process for obtaining the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), commonly known as the B-Form. Parents must submit their original CNICs and the childโs birth certificate issued by a Union Council or Cantonment Board. For adopted children, legal custody documents are required.
The application process varies by age: children under three do not need to be present; those aged 3โ10 require a photograph; and those aged 10โ18 must provide a photo, fingerprints, and an iris scan.
With these steps, NADRA continues to streamline public access to essential documentation through user-friendly digital services.
