Kannada actress Shobitha Shivanna was found dead in her apartment in Hyderabad’s Kondapur area, authorities confirmed on Monday.
The Gachibowli police suspect suicide but noted that the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.
Shivanna, 32, was discovered hanging in her residence, according to a police statement. “A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause and circumstances of her death,” a police official said. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A Promising Talent Gone Too Soon
Shobitha Shivanna was a rising star in the Kannada film industry, earning acclaim for her performances in movies like Eradondla Mooru, ATM: Attempt to Murder, and Vandana. She also appeared in major hits, including U-Turn and the K.G.F franchise.
In addition to her film career, Shobitha was a well-known face on television, starring in popular serials such as Gaalipata, Mangala Gowri, and Brahmagantu.

Born and raised in Bengaluru, Shobitha showed a passion for acting from an early age. She attended Baldwin Girls High School and later graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bengaluru.
