Zanjan: An early morning strike, Tuesday carried out by the IDF/USAF badly damaged the Mosque-cum- Hussainiya structure in the city of Zanjan; local media and TV networks reported. The city is situated north north west of the capital Tehran and the Zanjan province borders Iranian Azerbaijan.
During the last one month of relentless bombing by the IDF/USAF, it is for the first time that the Iranian authorities have pointed out to the religious gathering place being specifically targeted by the invading air force. it is worthy to note that the combined air forces campaign has been apparently targeting what they felt on the basis of dissident Iranians intelligence feeds, going down to the precise locations of even the police stations in the highly densely populated areas of central Tehran and a middle income district of Narmak, where in certain cases housing projects were relentlessly targeted. The IDF without any remorse has been unapologetic about what they justify blasting an entire neighborhood for taking out any senior IRGC or any senior leader like Ali larijani, who was tracked late night in his daughter’s house by the field IDF mole, however in the process of him being taken out, the whole neighborhood was razed to the ground.
From the early engagement records of the United States Air Force experience in Iraq; a Shia majority state, where there are numerous shrines specially in Southern Iraq; there has been specific orders to avoid using ammunition in these areas. As a matter of fact, during the early days of confrontation between the Sadr movement led by firebrand young cleric Moqtada Sadr, the month long siege of Najaf centering around Hazrat Ali Mausoleum in June 2004 was resolved without resorting to air power and similar episodes were settled in the holiest city of Karbala, specially around the resting place of Imam Hussain and his younger brother Hazrat Abbas.
