Fully Funded Scholarships
The Kingdom of Morocco has announced the offering of 10 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students to pursue higher education in Moroccan Public Institutions of Higher, Technical, and Professional Education for the academic year 2025-26. This opportunity has been made public through a recent announcement by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
These scholarships are available for Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) nationals and cover a wide range of academic disciplines including Medical Studies, Engineering, Management Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, and Architecture. Eligible candidates can apply for undergraduate, masterโs, or doctoral degree programs depending on their academic background and qualifications.
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of Pakistan or AJK and must not possess dual nationality. For undergraduate programs, candidates must have completed a minimum of 12 years of formal education such as FSc or A-levels and must be no older than 23 years of age.
For admission to masterโs programs, applicants must have completed at least 16 years of relevant education, while PhD applicants are required to have completed 18 years of education in a related discipline.
An important eligibility requirement is a valid score on the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) or Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT), depending on the level of the program. Candidates will be nominated based on their test scores, and those shortlisted will be required to submit additional documentation.
Since French is the primary language of instruction in most Moroccan educational institutions, especially in scientific and technical fields, selected candidates will be required to complete a French language refresher course at centers such as Alliance Franรงaise in Pakistan during the 2024-25 academic year. For programs in Arabic Language and Literature or Islamic Studies, fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
Interested students must register online through the HECโs official portal at scholarship.hec.gov.pk under the Moroccan Government Scholarship Program. At this initial stage, applicants are not required to submit hard copies of their documents.
However, shortlisted candidates will need to submit academic transcripts, recommendation letters, motivation letters, medical fitness certificates, a police clearance certificate, and if applicable, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
Those applying for professional degrees such as medicine, law, or engineering must ensure that the foreign institutions and their programs are accredited by the relevant Pakistani professional bodies such as the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), or Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).
In particular, PMDC has issued special guidelines regarding admissions to foreign medical institutions, which prospective applicants are advised to consult.
The deadline for online applications is Thursday, 12 June 2025, at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time. Further information and updates can be accessed through the official websites of Moroccan educational bodies: www.amci.ma, www.enssup.gov.ma, and www.men.gov.ma.
