ูุงุทู. The Israeli military confirmed that multiple waves of missiles were detected throughout the day.
Sirens were activated in central regions, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. Alerts were also reported in parts of the occupied West Bank. The military said its defence systems were immediately activated to intercept the incoming threats.
The first missile launch was detected early in the morning at around 6:49 am. Loud blasts were heard soon after. Journalists on the ground confirmed multiple explosions in Tel Aviv. The situation created panic among residents as emergency protocols were followed.
Damage Reported Despite Interceptions
Israelโs emergency service Magen David Adom reported that at least seven people were injured. The injuries were caused by falling debris from intercepted missiles. Six people were wounded in Kafr Qassem, while one person was injured in Tel Aviv.
Images from affected areas showed clear damage to buildings and vehicles. In Tel Aviv, debris from an intercepted missile struck a residential building. Metal fragments were seen scattered inside apartments. Emergency teams arrived quickly to assess the situation and provide medical assistance.
In Kafr Qassem, several homes were damaged. Local officials stated that the destruction was caused by cluster munitions. A large crater was visible at the impact site. Several cars were overturned due to the blast force. The incident highlighted the intensity of the attack despite successful interceptions.
Regional Tensions Escalate with Continued Strikes
The missile attacks came after a gap of more than 14 hours since the last reported launch. The Israeli military said it detected seven waves of missiles over the day. Each wave triggered sirens and emergency responses across the country.
The situation further escalated overnight as central Israel also came under fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon. The group claimed responsibility for targeting military sites. Israeli media reported that six rockets were intercepted during that attack.
In a separate development, the Israeli military confirmed the death of a soldier in southern Lebanon. Ground operations in the region have intensified in recent weeks. Since the conflict began on February 28, at least three Israeli soldiers have been killed in combat in southern Lebanon.
The ongoing conflict continues to raise concerns about wider regional instability. Frequent missile exchanges and cross-border attacks have increased tensions. Civilians remain at risk as both sides continue military operations. Authorities have urged residents to stay alert and follow safety instructions during siren alerts.
