Following its showcase at the Pakistan Auto Show 2025, the MG Binguo EV has captured significant attention among automotive enthusiasts eager for affordable electric mobility. Industry sources have revealed that MG is evaluating a price bracket between Rs 6 million and Rs 6.4 million for this compact electric hatchback.
Launch Timeline Remains Uncertain
Despite strong market interest, official launch and booking dates have not been confirmed. MG is currently prioritizing the MG U9 pickup truck, which may delay the Binguo EV’s market entry. This strategic decision positions the U9 as the immediate focus for Pakistan’s commercial vehicle segment.
Technical Specifications and Performance
The Binguo EV features a 31.9 kWh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate battery delivering 67 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. MG claims a WLTP driving range of 273 kilometers, making it suitable for urban commuting and short intercity trips.
Charging capabilities include DC fast charging that reaches 30-80% capacity in just 35 minutes, while complete AC charging requires approximately 5.5 hours. The vehicle rides on 15-inch steel wheels with 185/60 R15 tires, balancing efficiency with practicality.
Interior Features and Comfort
Inside, the Binguo EV offers a distinctive caramel-latte interior theme complemented by modern conveniences. Standard equipment includes keyless entry, push-button start, auto hold functionality, and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. The 10.25-inch LCD display integrates seamlessly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through a four-speaker audio system.
If launched at the anticipated price point, the MG Binguo EV could emerge as one of Pakistan’s more accessible long-range electric vehicles, potentially competing with traditional fuel-powered compact cars while offering significantly lower operating costs and environmental benefits.
