Maulana Sherani Confirms His Second Marriage
Maulana Sherani confirmed it was his second marriage. He shared that his first wife had passed away some time ago. Guests extended warm congratulations to the respected cleric, celebrating the occasion in a dignified manner.
A Distinguished Religious and Political Career
Maulana Sherani previously served as Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII). He remains a respected voice in Pakistan’s religious and political spheres. Once a key JUI-F leader, he was expelled by the party’s Disciplinary Committee on December 25, 2020.

Formation of JUI-Sherani and Alliance with PTI
After his expulsion, Maulana Sherani established a new faction named Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sherani (JUI-Sherani).
Two years later, he formed an alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He met former prime minister Imran Khan at KP House in Islamabad to discuss religious and political cooperation. Both leaders pledged joint efforts against Islamophobia and social discrimination.
