The Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted a new bench to hear the bail petition of popular YouTuber Saadur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, scheduled for November 17, 2025.
Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry will preside over the hearing after Justice Farooq Haider recused himself, citing an inability to proceed and referring the matter to the Chief Justice of the LHC.
The National Crime and Cyber Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has been made a party to the petition, and the court has issued notices seeking a detailed reply regarding the allegations leveled against the influencer.
Authorities took action after the gambling application promoted by Ducky Bhai was found to be involved in online betting and fraudulent activities, resulting in substantial financial losses for the public. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the alleged misconduct.
Ducky Bhai was arrested at Allama Iqbal International Airport on August 17, while his wife, Arooba Jatoi, secured interim bail. Both have denied any wrongdoing, claiming they were unaware of the appโs fraudulent operations.
The case, registered under multiple provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), underscores the increasing scrutiny of influencer-driven promotions and raises calls for clear ethical guidelines in digital marketing.
