Winter season has begun with a full bloom in Azad Kashmir and its surrounding areas as a freezing temperature is being recorded there these days.
Weather has started changing throughout Pakistan. However, the minimum temperature in AJK and its surrounding suburbs fell below on Wednesday night as chilly winds and snow covered the valley and the mercury settled below the freezing point.
The temperature dropped to freezing level in Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Leepa Valley and some other upper parts of AJK.
At least two-inch of snow was accumulated in different areas of the Neelum Valley, including Arang Kel, Shounter, Surgan, and Jagran.
Meanwhile, Chitral and its surroundings received rains and snowfall, which intensified chilling weather.
Weather experts said that in the coming days across Pakistan, especially in the northern areas, chilling weather will become more extreme.
