Mansehra and its neighboring regions recently faced heavy rainfall accompanied by a fierce storm, signaling the arrival of early winter in Pakistan. Popular northern tourist destinations like Lulosar Lake, Butta Kundi, and Babusar Top received a fresh blanket of snow, transforming the landscape into a picturesque winter wonderland.
At Lulosar Lake, about a foot of snow accumulated, while rooftops across the northern areas were dusted white, contributing to a stunning winter backdrop. However, this snowfall has led to some travel difficulties, particularly with the partial closure of the Babusar Top Road, which connects to Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has indicated that a westerly wave is expected to affect the western and northern regions of the country starting tonight. This system is likely to bring rain and thunderstorms to upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Pothohar Region, along with gusty winds in parts of upper Punjab.
While most areas experienced dry weather over the past 24 hours, Sindh reported soaring temperatures, with cities like Lasbella, Mithi, and Hyderabad reaching highs of up to 42°C.
