LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised the Elite Force on Friday during the passing-out parade in Lahore, wearing the Elite Force uniform herself.
CM Maryam highlighted the dedication of the Elite Force, stating, “17,000 officers are rendering their services with unwavering commitment. Being part of the Elite Force is a great responsibility. I am very happy to participate in this event.”

She credited Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for organizing the Elite Force and congratulated the successful officers, saying, “I am proud of the young graduates of the Elite Force.”
CM Maryam also paid homage to the martyrs of all forces and acknowledged the active role of Punjab Inspector General (IG), Dr. Usman Anwar, extending her support to him.
“We will ensure the police have the necessary resources and provide modern technological facilities from the Chief Minister’s Office,” she added.
CM Maryam Vows to Increase Women’s Representation in the Police Force
Last month, CM Maryam committed to increasing women’s representation in the police force. Addressing the passing-out parade at Chung Police Training Centre in a police uniform, she noted, “Nearly 7,000 women officers are serving in the Punjab police. It always makes me happy to see women represented in the police force.”
She emphasized the responsibility that comes with wearing the uniform and expressed pride in the women serving in the police.
Speaking on the rule of law, CM Maryam said, “It is important to bring oppressors to justice and uphold the justice system in society. Without the rule of law, society declines.”
“I do not want to indulge in vendetta,” she concluded.
