LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Unknown assailants rammed their vehicle into the car of Judge Arshad Javed, an anti-terrorism court judge, on Canal Road in Lahore. Although the collision damaged the vehicle, Judge Arshad Javed was unharmed and proceeded to court as scheduled.
The car has been sent for repairs, and authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
However, the identities and motives of the attackers remain unclear.
Judge Arshad Javed arrived safely at the Anti-Terrorism Court, where he is currently presiding over cases related to the May 9 events, including those involving PTI leaders such as Azam Swati, Omar Ayub, Sarfraz Cheema, Sanam Javaid, and Aleema Khan.
In a similar incident on August 2, two policemen were killed in an attack on a convoy carrying judges in the Hathala area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The convoy included Additional Judge Tang Hasnain, Additional Sessions Judge South, and Senior Civil Judge Mah Jabeen, who were unharmed in that attack.
