Peshawar Operation
RAWALPINDI: On Thursday night, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district resulted in the death of a notorious terrorist ringleader and another militant.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the operation successfully neutralized Ayaz Muhammad, a key terrorist leader, and his associate, Ahmedey, also known as Koochi.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location during the IBO, leading to the deaths of Ayaz Muhammad and Ahmedey, and inflicting injuries on two other militants.
The ISPR highlighted that both of the deceased terrorists had been actively involved in numerous attacks against security forces and had participated in the killing of innocent civilians.
During the operation, security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the location. This seizure is expected to disrupt the operational capabilities of the militant group and prevent future attacks.
The local community in the Hassan Khel area expressed their appreciation for the successful operation, which they believe will enhance security and stability in the region. The residents acknowledged the efforts of the security forces and their commitment to eradicating terrorism.
The ISPR reiterated the determination of the security forces to continue their fight against terrorism.
The military’s media wing emphasized that such operations are crucial in the ongoing effort to eliminate terrorist networks and ensure the safety and security of the country’s citizens.
The successful IBO in Peshawar is part of a broader strategy to tackle the threat of terrorism across the nation.
The security forces remain vigilant and committed to identifying and neutralizing terrorist elements, thereby preventing further loss of innocent lives and maintaining peace in the region.
