Taylor Swift has donated $5 million to Feeding America to aid relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The nonprofit announced her generous contribution on Wednesday, featuring a “Thank You” graphic that resembles a friendship bracelet a nod to a popular accessory among Swift’s fans at her concerts.
Feeding America expressed its deep gratitude for the donation, with CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot stating, “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover by providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to those affected by these devastating storms.”
She emphasized that together, they can make a significant impact in supporting families facing challenges in the aftermath of the hurricanes.
The organization also encouraged fans and supporters to “join Taylor” in contributing to the relief efforts.
In addition, Swift’s longtime friends, actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, have also stepped in, donating $1 million to Feeding America to support the hurricane recovery initiatives.
Babineaux-Fontenot highlighted the couple’s “longtime support of Feeding America in times of crisis,” noting their contributions have been instrumental during past natural disasters.
Swift has a history of philanthropic efforts in response to tragedies, including donations following a tornado in Tennessee in 2020 and a shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade in February 2024.
Her commitment to food banks has become a hallmark of her record-breaking Eras Tour, where she donated the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of meals to various food banks in cities along her tour route.
Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday, further compounding the suffering in areas already impacted by Hurricane Helene.
