Superintendent of Police (SP) Beenish Fatima, serving as the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) in Rawalpindi, has been honored with the prestigious ‘2024 IACP 40 Under 40’ award by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). This annual recognition, presented in the United States, celebrates 40 exceptional police officers under the age of 40 from a global pool of hundreds of nominees.
This year’s award ceremony took place in Boston, where SP Fatima was among the honorees acknowledged for their leadership, excellence, and contributions to the field of law enforcement. The IACP president presented the award during a grand event that recognized emerging talent among the world’s finest police officers.
According to the IACP’s website, the awardees are celebrated as “rising leaders from around the world, who exemplify leadership, dedication, and service to both their communities and the law enforcement profession.”
The Punjab Police shared their excitement over SP Fatima’s achievement on their official X account, calling it a “proud moment for Pakistan.” They further emphasized that SP Fatima, who serves as Rawalpindi’s first female Chief Traffic Officer, was the only police officer from Pakistan selected for this award.
Punjab’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Usman Anwar, also praised SP Fatima for her international recognition, highlighting her value to the force. He stated, “SP Beenish Fatima is a valuable asset to the Punjab Police,” acknowledging her contribution in bringing a positive global spotlight to Pakistan.
SP Beenish Fatima’s recognition as one of the top young police leaders marks a significant milestone for both Pakistan and the Punjab Police, showcasing her dedication and leadership in her profession.
