Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the Lok Sabha, recited Durood Sharif to send blessings on the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
During his speech, he emphasized that all great personalities, including the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), spoke of non-violence and encouraged eliminating fear by saying, “do not be afraid.”
Gandhi quoted the Quran to highlight its message of fearlessness.
Rahul Gandhi delivered a powerful speech in the Lok Sabha by quoting a verse from the Quran:
قَالَ لَا تَخَافَاۤ اِنَّنِيۡ مَعَكُمَاۤ اَسۡمَعُ وَاَرٰى
“He said, fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.” (Qur’an 20:46)
In his address, Gandhi further accused BJP leaders of spreading hatred, fear, and violence, stating that while they claim to be Hindus, they propagate divisiveness.
Rahul Gandhi’s statement sparked anger within the BJP, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that Gandhi had accused the entire Hindu community of violence. Modi demanded an apology from the opposition leader.
In response, Rahul Gandhi clarified that Narendra Modi and the RSS do not represent the entire Hindu society.
He reiterated that the BJP is continuously spreading fear and promoting violence and hatred.
