As part of the movement:

The senior leadership of the party, including Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, former Punjab governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Senator Waleed Iqbal, and former provincial minister Murad Ras, will serve themselves for arrest.

The party workers will stage a protest at Mall Road Charing Cross in Lahore.

Then The central Punjab wing of PTI held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the “Jail Bharo” movement.

Instructions were given to all party members to ensure the movement’s success.

During the meeting:

It was decided that:

A ceremony will be held at the party office to honor the senior leaders and workers who will be presenting themselves for arrest to kick off the movement.

Senior party leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid will lead the leaders and workers to surrender at Charing Cross.

Moreover,

PTI Chairman Imran Khan tweeted:

We are launching the “Jail Bharo” movement for two main reasons.

The first reason is to protest against the fascist system that has led to baseless NAB cases, FIRs, arrests, and custodial torture of people and journalists.

Furthermore,

The second reason is to protest against the economic meltdown brought on by the corrupt entities in power who have increased their personal wealth and taken NRO for themselves.
