PTI Supporter Charged with Stalking Nawaz Sharif and Grandson, Released on Bail with Restrictions

Hussain pleaded not guilty to the charges, which stem from incidents in which he allegedly harassed Nawaz Sharif and later Zakaria by appearing outside the Avenfield apartments, the Sharif family’s London residence. Prosecutors told the court that Hussain used TikTok live sessions to promote and incite harassment and violence against the Sharif family.

He was granted bail under strict conditions: he must not approach Nawaz Sharif or any members of his family, must avoid entering the restricted zone surrounding Avenfield flats, and is prohibited from encouraging or engaging in any form of violence.

The charges, brought by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), include threats of violence, stalking, and harassment—allegedly committed over the past eight months. The case will now proceed to a Crown Court. Hussain is expected to be released from Wandsworth Prison on Tuesday after posting a £2,000 security bond provided by Tariq Mahmood.

At the court appearance, only three supporters accompanied Hussain, along with his legal counsel—solicitor Mahtab Aziz and a barrister.

According to authorities, Gulfam was previously arrested after breaching police-imposed restrictions when he approached the Avenfield apartments on the day Nawaz Sharif arrived in London. The original complaint was filed by Khurram Butt, a leader of the PML-N UK Youth Wing, who alerted police to Gulfam’s presence near the residence during a protest.

Police detained Gulfam after finding small stones in his possession, violating earlier bail conditions that prohibited him from carrying or throwing stones at the Sharif family’s property or persons. Despite being granted bail within 24 hours, Gulfam went live again on TikTok, making further threats.

Back in January, Scotland Yard had arrested him for the first time for hurling small stones at the Avenfield flats during a TikTok broadcast, during which he issued threats against Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, and other family members. He also made a threat to bomb the Park Lane flats.

In his live broadcasts, Gulfam vowed to physically “drag” the Sharif family members through London’s streets and to take revenge if anything happened to Imran Khan in Pakistan.

The PTI UK chapter distanced itself from his actions. PTI UK President Imran Khalil clarified that the party maintains a strict policy of peaceful protest. “Gulfam’s actions are his own. He was previously associated with PML-N and only began promoting PTI independently last year,” Khalil stated.

Once a trained chef, Gulfam reportedly left his job after gaining popularity on TikTok.
