PTA Condutcs successful raid against illegal issuance of sims in Rawat
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) conducted a successful investigation at two mobile carrier franchisees in Rawat to prevent illegal SIM card activation.
During the operation, BVS devices, silicone thumbs, genuine CNICs, and SIM cards were confiscated.
In total, four people were apprehended.
More inquiry is being carried out by the FIA.
PTA has already filed a complaint with the FIA based on information about irregular SIM card issuance at selling channels.

Among the PTA’s measures to aggressively prevent attempts to circumvent the Multi-Finger Biometric Verification System are the searches (MBVS).
According to the telecom firm, this demonstrates the PTA’s dedication and unwavering efforts to prohibit the sale of illegal SIM cards.
