PHC grants transitory bail to KP CM Gandapur ahead of PTI’s rally at Islamabad’s D-Chowk

PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD: The Peshawar High Court has granted interim bail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur until October 25 in connection with two cases filed against him in Islamabad.

Gandapur’s bail comes as he prepares for a major protest at Islamabad’s D-Chowk, part of his party’s ongoing campaign for what they call “real freedom.”

Speaking to the media, Gandapur affirmed that D-Chowk is his destination, and he will continue to lead the protest unless directed otherwise by PTI Founder Imran Khan.

“We won’t stop unless ordered by our leader,” he emphasized, calling on the public to join the movement to defend the Constitution and achieve “real freedom.”

Gandapur had filed a petition with the Peshawar High Court seeking bail due to concerns about his arrest, as cases had been registered against him in Islamabad. The petition mentioned that he intended to appear in court but feared detention.

Earlier, during a TV interview, Gandapur said that preparations for the protest were complete, and the demonstration would be peaceful. However, he warned that anyone resorting to violence would bear responsibility for the consequences.

“The orders of our founding leader are a red line for me,” he stressed, stating that he would not engage in negotiations, as he lacked the authority to postpone the protest.

Gandapur further vowed to press on toward Islamabad until directed otherwise by the party leadership. “Even if I am left alone, I will continue,” he declared.
