Pakistan On verge of Economic Growth with CPEC Advancements: Mushahid Hussain

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mushahid Hussain stated on Tuesday that Pakistan is on the path to prosperity, driven by progress under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Highlighting the significance of Pakistan-China relations, Hussain remarked, “CPEC is playing a crucial role in enhancing regional connectivity and economic development.”

He also acknowledged President Asif Ali Zardari’s contributions to the project, stating, “Asif Ali Zardari has played a key role in the expansion and development of CPEC.”

Hussain further confirmed that work on the second phase of CPEC has commenced, marking another milestone in the initiative’s progress.

Separately, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently emphasized Pakistan’s potential role as a bridge between China and the United States, advocating for diplomatic engagement rather than regional divisions.

In an interview with German media during the Munich Security Conference, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari warned that positioning India as a competitor to China could destabilize the regional balance of power.

He also underscored the strategic importance of projects like CPEC while stressing the necessity of maintaining strong ties with the United States.
