Over 11.7 million doses of coronavirus vaccine administered across Pakistan: NCOC

A total of 11,745,889 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered across country. 6,201,219 have been partially vaccinated whereas 3,107,671 have been fully vaccinated.

LAHORE (TTI NEWS) –  434,334 doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered across Pakistan on June 15, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) announced Wednesday.

A total of 11,745,889 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered till now across the country. 6,201,219 have been partially vaccinated whereas 3,107,671 have been fully vaccinated.

Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr. Faisal Sultan said that 12 million doses of anti-covid vaccine have so far been administered across the country.

Briefing the media persons in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said two million doses of anti-covid vaccine are still available in the country and the government is ensuring procurement of additional doses.

He said there are about two thousand vaccination centers across the country and the provincial and local authorities are working to ensure that no center faces any shortage of vaccination.

He said the situation will further improve after 20th June with the availability of additional doses.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 46 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 944,065. The nationwide tally of fatalities jumped to 21,828 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by NCOC 1,038 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,567 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,273 in Sindh, 4,240 in KP, 773 in Islamabad, 570 in Azad Kashmir, 297 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 344,379 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 329,279 in Sindh, 136,313 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,207 in Islamabad, 26,331 in Balochistan, 19,822 in Azad Kashmir and 5,734 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,934,493 coronavirus tests and 42,113 in the last 24 hours. 882,332 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,490 patients are in critical condition.
